How Your Rubber Seals Will Perform Under High Temperature

Date:2014-12-08View 4871

High temperature is one principal factor for rubber seals aging failure . Data indicates that ,rubber aging rate will be

increased by 2.6 times per each 10℃ increase in temperature. When rubber sealing material stimulated by high

temperature, breaking its internal polymer molecular chain ,coming into very active free radicals. These free radicals

cause cracking or further cross-linking of rubber polymer chain ,and make it change, resulting in rubber

macromolecule material aging metamorphism .Aging can lead to irreversible accumulated residual deformation

increase ,that is ,elastic deformation reduced ,resulting in seal ability declined ,then causing leakage. Under a long

time of high-temperature condition ,rubber seal will lose efficacy .

Racer Rubber develops a series of rubber seal products ,such as , sealing ring, rubber seal, rubber grommet , oil seal etc.
