In order to prevent leakage of mechanical seal ,other than keeping sealing surface parallel ,materials of friction pair are also critical .
Friction materials should meet the following requirements,
1) high mechanical strength, good resistance to high pressure;
2) good resistance to dry abrasive and high load ,good self-lubrication ;
3) get along with matching materials ,without dual corrosion;
4)  anti-abrasive , long service time;
5)  Good thermal conductivity and heat dissipation;
6)  Good resistance to high temperature;
7)  Good chemical resistance;
8)  Lower CET , good dimensional stability when heated;
9)  Good machining capability ;
10) Good gas tightness .
